vintage floral wallpaper

I had an idea where I could see vintage floral patterned wallpaper partnering the logo and being part of the store brand somehow. I'm still not quite sure if i'm going to go with this idea but it was worth sourcing some images to get the ideas flowing.

Dom Dick and Harry

How to do it right. Dom Dick and Harry a brand that Blue Rinse stock, have styled their website perfectly and the design from their apparel travels across to the styling of their website. Black, white and red are the brand colours and this is recognisable at every point of Dom Dick and Harrys design. Their POS is even on Bigcartel where again their brand colours are used and everything is in sync.

Brief One - Blue Rinse - Why a rebrand is needed.

The issue with Blue Rinse is for a really strong and well known vintage shop their brand is quite weak and in places confusing. Several different typefaces are used across each store and promotion, as seen below where the website has a completely different logo type to the promo on the side of the bus.

I love Blue Rinse, I love how different they are to other vintage shops and how they always seem to be ahead of their competition, but I really believe they can do better than an Online Point of Sale being an bay account. True, ebay is an excellent market place but it just doesn't seem professional compared to Dom, dick and harry ( a brand they sell) who use a big cartel page to sell their products. Plus the quality of the photos of the clothing is again not very professional and fails to show the products of at their best.

Comic Sans..... Point made.

The photography on the website of the models is good but the context is scattered across several locations, and their are too many models.

It's quite easy to pull apart a brand but I really feel passionate about how good design can effect a label and believe Blue Rinse can and deserve much better.
